My experience has been that as long as I keep my hair long, "Helmet Hair" isn't a concern. It goes back in a pony tail or double braids on the sides, and looks the same as "pre-helmet."

I do know ladies who keep their hair short who deal with flat hair after long rides in the Texas heat. Short hair seems to have more maintenance anyway - more product, curling iron thingies, and so forth.
